Mission and Educational Philosophy Frederick Institute of Technology (FIT) is dedicated to providing high quality, cost-effective education in the fields of Engineering and Technology, Business, Arts and Design, Education, Health, Humanities and Social Sciences.
The Institute’s main objective is to combine thorough academic education with a stimulating learning environment. Our faculty is encouraged to explore new ideas in teaching, learning and research, and to pursue educational objectives inspired by the privilege of scholarly inquiry, and in accord with FIT’s ethos and stated principles.

International Accreditation and Memberships: National Accreditation
The Frederick Institute of Technology is registered with the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Cyprus. All the programs offered have been rigorously and thoroughly evaluated by external committees and are evaluated and certified by the Council of Educational Evaluation and Accreditation (SEKAP). Since November 2015, all new FIT programs have been evaluated and certified by the Cyprus Agency of Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education (DI.P.A.E), which, under the relevant Law on its Establishment and Operation, has replaced and assumed the responsibilities of SEKAP.
FIT has developed academic ties with many universities in the USA, Russia, Ireland, Sweden, Greece, England, and with other European universities.
Links with Professional Bodies and Industry
FIT's Study Programs are highly valued by professional bodies and employers. The Programs are regularly reviewed by industrial and professional bodies and reflect modern trends and needs. Employers from Cyprus and abroad respect FIT graduates not only because of their academic training but also because of their professional skills.
Providing Scholarships and Financial Assistance
FIT offers financial aid to full-time students in the form of academic merit scholarships, need-based assistance and athletic scholarships. The scheme covers: Entrance Scholarships, Continuing Student Scholarships, Scholarships to Athletes and Financial Assistance.

Services to students:
FIT provides most of the student services through its Studies and Student Welfare Service. The aim of the Service is to contribute towards the development of an academic environment that promotes constructive learning, academic success and the socialisation of FIT students. The Service includes the following Offices: Studies Office, Admissions Office, Mobility Office, Career Office, International Students Office, Alumni Office, Student Ombudsman, Protection of Health Office, Social Support Office, Psychological Support Office, Academic Support Office, Sports Office, and Housing and Accommodation Office. In addition to the facilities and services mentioned above, FIT provides additional services to students such as computing services (e.g. email accounts, web access), library services (book loans, online articles), as well as recreation space and cafeterias.
FIT operates in privately-owned buildings in Nicosia and Limassol.
